Heilman's Herd Gets Together

About a year ago, a small group of Kutztown University football players started having breakfast once a month with their old coach, Donald "Bud" Heilman. What began as a small get-together has grown into a vibrant gathering of old friends--Heilman's Herd. During the most recent breakfast on Thursday, August 4th, at Giannotti's in Wyomissing, PA, there were more than 25 people in attendance, including football alumni, their spouses, Coach Heilman and his daughter, Jayne Dieruff, and friends from Kutztown University. One alumnus, Paul Riffle '66, flew all the way out from Mapleton, Iowa to spend a couple hours with Coach Heilman and the Herd. Click here to read more.
