Wycliffe Gordon: "Hello Pops" A Tribute to Louis Armstrong

Come celebrate New Orleans Mardi Gras the Satchmo way with Wycliffe Gordon and his quintet as we pay tribute to Louis Armstrong with Wycliffe on trumpet and trombone on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 7:30pm in the MSU Multipurpose Room (aka The Sub).

A veteran member of the Wynton Marsalis Septet and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Wycliffe’s huge brass sound and Louis-like vocals have also been heard with Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Tommy Flanagan, Shirley Horn, Joe Henderson, Eric Reed, Randy Sandke, Branford Marsalis, and has been a featured guest artist on Billy Taylor's “Jazz at The Kennedy Center” Series.
