Campaign

What is the campaign?
The campaign is called Setting the Stage, the Campaign for Kutztown University. Setting the Stage is a reference to a top priority of the campaign, the Schaeffer Auditorium renovation and expansion. The university’s Sesquicentennial celebration festivities will commence the next year, immediately following the end of the campaign and, therefore, the campaign will help generate interest. Additionally, the campaign will coordinate well with the town of Kutztown’s sesquicentennial celebration efforts. Most importantly, the campaign’s focus is to raise funds to enhance the quality of education at Kutztown University and the sesquicentennial theme will help promote the success of the university, over its 150 years, under a celebratory banner.
What is the goal?
A publicly announced goal will be determined at an appropriate date and will depend upon early success in securing leadership gifts. The current working goal is $15 million.
When will we go public?
The public announcement of the campaign will depend on the success of the quiet phase (not silent) success as well as the timing of the Schaeffer project, which is one of the main priorities of the campaign. We anticipate the Schaeffer renovation project will play a role in determining when the campaign will go public.
What is the timeframe of the campaign?
The campaign officially started in March 2009 and will run until June 2014.
